Never forget why you started, and you can accomplish your goal.

Hi, I’m Yuandou Wang, a Ph.D. student at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, since October 2020.

I am very honored to work on the ESR2 position within the EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN), CLARIFY project because I am sure this position will offer me outstanding career opportunities within engineering and medicine domains.

I grew up in a village in Chongqing, China. I majored in Computer Science and Technology at Chongqing University, where I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 2016 and 2019, respectively.  My research interests include Cloud computing, workflow scheduling, and blockchain technologies. While pursuing my master’s degree, I already knew that I like to find research questions and solve them. I decided to keep on my research journey and studied hard to apply for an international Ph.D. position. During this period, my uncle died of cancer, which influenced me to look for engineering-related and healthcare-related projects. I thus started to look for double-matched Ph.D. opportunities. Finally, I got an offer from the University of Amsterdam and joined the Clarify project as ESR2. Btw, I like running in parks, and I will participate in the half marathon in Amsterdam this October if everything goes well.

I am very excited to join in this journey and enjoy this adventure.
